Meet Sally, The Historic Brookstown Inn, Winston-Salem, America
MEET THE CAT: SALLY
Meet the first of our AMERICATS the beautiful little Sally, from The Historic Brookstown Inn who was so keen on being a hotel cat that she travelled more than 300 miles to find her new home! Sally showed up out of the blue at the front door of the Brookstown Inn on September 30th, 2013 in Winston-Salem. She was clearly starving and needed a place to stay. The hotel staff took her in, fed her and gave her a warm place to sleep. After some sleuthing, Sally's owners were found. She was originally from Seattle, Washington and was accidentally locked up on the back of a tractor trailer truck!
The story is that Sally wandered into a nearby truck depot for quick cat nap, little to know she would go on a massive journey which would change her destiny from farm cat to hotel cat! Sally spent seven days on the road before turning up at Brookstown Inn. Sally has fit right in to hotel life and enjoys napping and lounging in the courtyard and keeping watch at the front door to welcome guests. She has had many (smaller) adventures in the city of Winston-Salem, but now always comes straight home.
